FAMILY TIME IN PARIS: VERSAILLES, NOTRE DAME AND A WHOLE LOAD OF VINTAGE SHOPPING
I’m currently back home for the Easter break! Nothing too exicting – I’ve mounds of study to get through. That said, the Easter eggs and cups of tea waiting here in Donegal certainly have helped ease me into the whole process of things!
I genuinely won’t have much time between now and the exams to blog, but here’s some photos of the family when they came to visit me in Paris! The weather was absolutely fantastic and I ticked a few more touristy things off the list. I’d been to Versailles in the winter, but it was nothing – NOTHING – compared to the place in Spring. We were in awe. Sitting out in the sun beside the lake there watching row boats go past was one of the highlights of the trip. That, and the hot chocolate in Angelina’s there.
The rest of our time was spent going from the Eiffel Tower (which we saw sparkle at midnight) to the Luxembourg Gardens, Sacre Coeur, the Louvre, Musee d’Orsay, Notre Dame and a whole load of vintage shopping… we basically tried to fit everything in over a few days and although we managed it, we were completely wrecked by the time we made it back to Letterkenny. I thought the car ride from Dublin airport would never end.
I can’t remember the last time we had a girls weekend together, in fact I’m not entirely sure we’ve ever really had one, so here’s hoping it’ll become a new annual event that sticks.
