VEGAN BANANA BREAD
The recipe requires very little effort, everything just gets thrown into a bowl and mixed together. The results were delicious too!
Next time I’m adding in walnuts – they would have added so much to this recipe, but it tastes pretty good even without them if you’ve none to hand.
1/4 tablespoon baking soda
1. Mix a little bit of water with the plain flour until it forms a paste.
2. Mix in the margarine, sugar, bananas and chopped walnuts.
3. Stir in the wholewheat flour, salt, baking powder and bread soda.
4. Place in a bread tin and cook at 180 degrees for about 35 minutes. Make sure to keep checking it by skewering with a knife. When the knife comes out of the bread clean, it will be fully cooked!
And voila! The recipe is really that simple. The loaf is absolutely delicious, goes well with peanut butter (yes, I’ve tried) and is very handy to keep around as a snack.
